Equifax Blog Code of Conduct

Publishing

Equifax publishes blogs so interested readers can benefit from the opinions and insight of experts within our organization. The following guidelines govern publishing in our blogs.

  • We want our authors to be open and honest in their blog.
  • We will correct inaccurate or misleading postings in a timely manner. We may delete posts that are more than 60 days old as part of our normal maintenance process.
  • We will disclose conflicts of interest if they exist.
  • There are topics we will not discuss such as information about our financials, intellectual property, confidential company information, trade secrets, internal personnel decisions, and contractual details with partners, customers, and suppliers.
  • We may provide links or cite relevant material available through other sources. We will attribute that information to its author and provide links or other bibliographic information to the source material.
  • We will use business-appropriate language in our blogs.
  • We will provide thoughtful and respectful analysis of key issues and trends in the marketplace, but we will not use our blog as a forum to criticize competitors or other viewpoints.
  • We will not post personally identifiable information on our blog beyond name, title, and basic contact information where appropriate or necessary to correctly cite source material.
  • We will respect intellectual property rights.
  • We will use good judgment in protecting personal and corporate information and in respecting the privacy of individuals who use our blogs.

Commenting

In some cases, Equifax may choose to allow comments from interested readers in order to foster an open discussion of issues and industry trends. The following guidelines govern commenting within our blogs.

  • Comments will be reviewed before they are posted on our blogs.
  • We will do our best to review, post, and respond to comments in a timely manner. Please understand that we may not be able to reply to all comments.
  • We welcome constructive discussion and criticism. We will not post comments that are spam, inappropriate to the topic, defamatory, profane, or use language that would generally be unacceptable in a business setting.
  • Because our blogs focus on industry topics, we ask that you direct any support requests to our appropriate support channels. Our blog authors will not have the ability to address support requests via the blogs.
  • We will not accept anonymous comments, and we may contact you if we need clarification on your comment or feel that we could best address your comment through a direct conversation.
  • Please remember that any personally identifiable information or commentary you share on a blog can be seen by anyone, or any search engine, with access to the blog.
